Cupcakes and Cookies At La Tasse de Couleur – Paint Your Own Ceramics & Cafe, our specialities in the cake department are cupcakes, not commonly found on the Cote d’Azur.
We follow the recipes from The Hummingbird Bakery in London, with the Chocolate, Vanilla and of course, Red Velvet being our all time favourites. However, due to popular demand, we also produce yummy carrot cake cupcakes, along with gluten-free Middle Eastern orange cupcakes (special orders can be made for these). We prefer to specialize in quality rather than quantity so we only make a few at a time.
We like use bio (organic) eggs and sugars flown in from the UK, including icing sugar, golden castor sugar and dark, muscavdo sugar. We use Divine Chocolate Cocoa powder in our Chocolate Cupcakes. Divine Chocolate cocoa is made with the finest cocoa from farmers in Ghana who co-own the company and because the cocoa is Fairtrade they get a guaranteed income and you get guaranteed pleasure, so everyone’s sweeter! Divine Chocolate Cocoa powder is suitable for vegetarians, free from artificial flavourings, colourings and preservatives.We use original Nestlé Tollhouse semi-sweet and milk chocolate chips from America. We vary our flavours depending on what is in the cupboard, but our favourites are original chocolate chip, oatmeal and raisin, macadamia nut and white chocolate.
